Personal background

Silvia is a strategic leader who fosters the development of ideas that promise transformational growth, building solid foundations to deliver results today and in the future.​

She is passionate, active and influential in diversity and inclusion, women's development and coaching.​

Bachelor's degree in marketing from unitec (1991), with a master’s degree in business economics (ITESM, 1996), and postgraduate studies at IMD, HBS, INSEAD & IPADE. She has more than 30 years of experience in marketing, business development and coaching. ​

While studying at the university, Silvia began her career at Mcdonald’s Mexico (1989), later joining P&G in 1992, year in which she also taught "strategic marketing planning" at Tec de Monterrey. In 2004 she joined Mars Mexico, where, in 2007, she was General Manager for the chocolate division. In 2010 she was General Manager for the Pet care division and in 2014, VP and Global food chief marketing officer based in Belgium.​

In 2017, she joined Danone as Regional president Latin america. In 2020 she was recently appointed LATAM president and CEO Mexico and member of the Danone global group executive committee.​

Silvia is the co-chair of CGF Latam (Consumers Goods Forum),​

She serves in the board of the Danone Ecosystem, Vice President of the International Women forum, Junior Achievement, GNC Mexico, Betterware Mexico.​

She is member of YPO and WCD (women corporate directors). She is also coordinator of the joint inclusion and diversity group forum between CCE and Global pact Mexico.​

Every year she is ranked in the top 10 ranking of powerful women.​
