Wellbeing: More Than A Policy

  • People & Communities

For me, strengthening culture means making sure wellbeing isn’t just a policy. It needs to show up in everyday life.

Over the past year, we’ve put a real focus on supporting Danoners in a more human, practical way. That means giving people access to things that genuinely help, like fitness and wellbeing support through Wellhub, musculoskeletal care, and benefits that recognise real life moments, including caring responsibilities and serious illness.

But what I’m most proud of isn’t a list of benefits. It’s the small things that add up. It’s colleagues checking in on each other and our Mental Health First Aiders creating safe spaces for conversations that might otherwise not happen. It’s knowing that if you’re having a tough week, you don’t have to hide it. We also try to make wellbeing feel natural, not forced.

From healthier food options in our offices to encouraging people to take time for themselves, it’s about creating an environment where looking after yourself feels normal, not something you squeeze in after work.

And importantly, we listen. Culture isn’t static, and neither is wellbeing. What people need changes, so we keep evolving, whether that’s through our employee networks, learning opportunities, or just ongoing conversations about what good really looks like.

Because when Danoners feel good, they do good. That’s what brings our purpose to life every single day and what makes me proud to be a Danoner.
