In 1571, Harrogate’s first mineral spring was discovered by William Slingsby. Harrogate soon became a destination for health and enjoyment, with visitors flocking to ‘take the waters’ and experience the spa town’s vibrant social scene. Harrogate Spring Water was founded in 2002. Today, we’re still bringing to life the essence of Harrogate. Harrogate Spring Water is the No. 1 water brand in out of home* and available across many premium bars, restaurants and hotels across the UK.

Our Harrogate Spring Water facility bottles ‘The Original British Bottled Water’ at source in the heart of ‘The Original British Spa Town’, combining heritage with innovation and a long-standing commitment to sustainability. 

As the first company in North Yorkshire to achieve B Corp certification, we meet  B Corp’s high social and environmental standards, with current operations fully powered by renewable electricity and Zero Waste to Landfill since 2010. The site partners closely with local suppliers to keep transport miles low, sourcing everything but our aluminium caps on our glass bottles within 90 miles of our bottling site. 

Through ongoing investment in technology and design, our bottles are made with over 50% recycled content, are recyclable and boast innovative compression technology to aid recycling.
