Danone has announced a two‑year extension of its partnership with FoodCycle, reaffirming its commitment to delivering health through food while tackling food waste and social isolation across the UK.

Since 2023, Danone has worked with FoodCycle on community involvement and research-driven advocacy, helping to strengthen the charity's long‑term impact on nutrition and public health.

The collaboration has supported FoodCycle to serve the equivalent of almost 210,000 meals through community dining projects nationwide. More than 180 Danone colleagues have collectively contributed over 1,000 hours of hands-on support through the company’s volunteering programme, alongside wider fundraising efforts and employee initiatives that have helped generate additional support for FoodCycle’s work.

Danone has provided scientific and nutrition expertise to help develop healthier eating resources and supported FoodCycle’s advocacy efforts. Danone sponsored the Your Place at the Table report, which highlighted the urgent need in the UK for better access to nutritious, sustainable food amid rising diet‑related diseases, and demonstrated how FoodCycle’s community dining model can create meaningful health impacts.

The partnership has been recognised across the industry, with the Food & Drink Federation awarding Danone and FoodCycle with its Community Partner Award, acknowledging the meaningful contribution the collaboration is making to communities nationwide.

Hannah Cornick, Head of Sustainability & Social Innovation at Danone North Europe said
: “At a time when rising living costs are placing added pressure on communities, FoodCycle’s work has never been more vital. We’re proud to renew this important partnership and continue supporting healthier, more resilient communities across the country through better access to nutritious food.”

Sophie Tebbetts, CEO at FoodCycle said: “Danone’s support has been invaluable over the last three years from colleagues volunteering, to sharing their nutrition expertise, it has felt truly collaborative from the start. The extension of the partnership means that together, we can continue to deliver meaningful, lasting impact through our community meals.”

Danone’s renewed commitment to FoodCycle forms part of its wider ambition to drive long term positive impact across health, communities and the planet. This partnership is a key pillar of the company’s Impact Journey, which sets out how Danone is building a more resilient and responsible business for the future.
