Forest
Forests are a fundamental pillar of how nature sustains a resilient food system. At Danone we recognise the urgent need to continue our effort in protecting and restoring forests. When forests are degraded, our raw-material supply chains and the communities supporting them become increasingly vulnerable. Danone has been recognised on CDP's Triple-A List again for 2025, earning top marks for forest preservation alongside climate change and water security. Only 23 of nearly 20,000 companies scored achieved a triple-A rating.
Danone first published its Forest Policy in 2012. Since then, the policy has undergone two updates. The first, published in 2022, consolidated commodity-specific policies into a single framework and formalized our ambition. The second, published in December 2025, expanded the scope of Danone's commitments on deforestation and conversion of natural ecosystems, strengthened our due diligence processes, and introduced additional commodities to enhance the resilience of our supply chains.

We report publicly on our forest progress every year. Our Forest Annual Update sets out performance against our commitments for each priority commodity. We also publish our palm oil supplier, mill and plantation lists twice yearly, and disclose on our forest progress in the annual Universal Registration Document.
