With decades of expertise in health and nutrition, we are uniquely positioned to help consumers and patients support their well-being through a balanced and sustainable diet. We firmly believe that everyone can improve their health through better nutrition and conscious behavior.

Throughout the company and across all our brands, our commitment to our mission of 'health through food' is always at the forefront. Since 1996, we have realigned our portfolio to better support health. To this end, we have acquired new companies, become market leaders, built strong local brands, and expanded into new regions. Today, Danone focuses on three categories: essential dairy and plant-based products, natural mineral water, and specialized nutrition.

To further expand our positive impact, we launched our sustainability roadmap, called the 'Danone Impact Journey', in 2023. The health section of this roadmap includes 10 new goals that focus on reducing sugar and improving children's nutrition.

Our products are consumed regularly by millions of people around the world. We want to positively influence people’s health by developing products that meet consumers' preferences and nutritional needs and contribute to a balanced diet. 

Our everyday products contain important nutrients such as calcium, protein, and vitamins, while sugar and saturated fats are limited. One of our key goals for 2025 is to further reduce the sugar content in our products for children without compromising on taste.

We know that healthy foods can and should taste good. That’s why we are constantly developing new recipes and improving our existing products to meet consumers' preferences and nutritional needs.

We actively and transparently collaborate with consumers, patients, caregivers and stakeholders to promote healthier eating habits. This means we are committed to removing all barriers that make it difficult for our customers to purchase and consume healthy products.

 

We encourage people to choose nutritious products by improving labelling, practicing responsible marketing and offering breastfeeding advice.

Provide positive nutrition & hydration for healthier lives

We believe that our actions can have a significant impact on promoting health and well-being. We focus on key areas where we can make a meaningful difference, such as tackling nutrient deficiencies and ensuring water security.

 

Our goals for 2025 include improving access to clean drinking water, reducing iron-deficiency anemia, supporting breastfeeding women, and enhancing nutrition through product fortification.

The key to creating new recipes

Invest in nutrition, hydration, and research

Research and innovation are at the heart of our company. In 1919, founder Isaac Carasso developed the first Danone yogurt by mixing fresh milk and live bacteria. Today, our expertise in ferments and gut health drives us to offer healthy foods and mineral water worldwide. We also focus on children's growth and immunity. As part of our goals, we will continue to invest in research and investigate how nutrition can positively impact health from birth to old age.
