Food consumption, child culture and education
::The European Centre for Children’s products (CEPE) of the University of Poitiers organizes on the 1st and 2nd April 2010 an International Conference “Food consumption, child culture and education” in Angoulême. The aim of this conference is to promote an in-depth dialogue between specialists from different disciplinary fields in order to highlight the various issues that relate to food products for children in society today.
Danone Research is one of the partners of this conference and will be present through a round table discussion entitled “A multi-disciplinary view of the transformation in children's food culture”. This round table will compare children’s food culture in North America (USA and Canada), Europe, Latin America and Africa. The debate will be about the adequacy of educational politics to these different realities.
This scientific event ends a three-year national research project on children’s consumption of funny food, the ANR Ludo-aliment project, on which the Danone Research’s Sensory & Consumer Behavior team has been collaborating since 2007.
