33rd ESPEN congress at Göteborg, Sweden

The 33rd edition of the ESPEN congress will take place at Göteborg, Sweden from September 3rd -6th, 2011. Nutrition professionals and researchers will be gathered to debate and share the latest scientific news in terms of clinical nutrition and metabolism. The 2010 edition registered more than 3200 participants from 55 countries, reflecting the large and increasing interest for this event.

This year’s theme is « Nutrition in translation – bridging science and practice ». Other main medical nutrition topics will be discussed during the congress, such as nutritional epidemiology, genes and nutrition, nutrition and cancer and nutrition and chronic diseases.

Nutricia Advanced Medical Nutrition and Danone Research will organize a symposium on “ Enhancing recovery and mobility: the role of medical nutrition in improving patient outcomes ”. Scientists from the United States, Great Britain, Sweden and Germany will also take part of the symposium.
