The Hotel Royal in Evian, the first luxury hotel to obtain a fifth star in France
Evian, 11 June 2009.Hervé Novelli, the Secretary of State for trade, craft industry, SME’s and Services are to announce the fifth star of the hotel Royal in Evian today. Part of the Danone, the hotel is the first one to obtain this star.
Franck Riboud, Danone’s Chief Executive Officer, also present for the announcement, says he is “very proud of the hotel Royal in Evian for obtaining the fifth star. This recognition shows our teams’permanent work and their demand for quality to achieve this level of excellence. The loyal customers of the hotel Royal are very international and they will now be able to experience the same standards in France as in the rest of the world”.
The hotel Royal is located on the South bank of Lake Leman, up against the Alps, 45 Km away from Geneva, at the centre of a 19 hectare park. The majestic and naturally charming surroundings make this hotel a very unique place in Europe.
Constructed in 1909 by the architect Jean Albert Hébrard, also the project manager of the Casino, the hotel is comprised of 150 rooms and suites. This fifth star endorses the whole “Evian Royal Resort” experience: The Evian Masters, one of the nicest golf courses in the world, the children’s’ club, a youth club and a world class Spa.
