WATERS -

FRANCE

I work as a packaging project manager in the R&I for French water brands (Evian, Volvic, Badoit and La Salvetat). My job is to give our consumer the best product experience through our packaging. The most exciting, fulfilling and thrilling aspect is when we launch a new product on the market and when we receive great consumer feedbacks, saying that our products respond to their needs. If I had to name my talent it will be adaptability. I have been working at Danone for 3 years and I'm still proud to be a Danoner, because I saw that Danone does not just promote values at a group level, but these values are actually put into action by every Danoner. We can experience the Danone leadership through several big angles but the most impactful for me is the alliance done with Veolia to meet the challenge of climate change at the COP21 in 2015. It shows us that Danone is not a follower but an actor to promote our values.

My job? Simple: I develop yogurts fitting with the consumer needs, in pairs with R&D Product Platform Engineers.  Formulation & Process are the pillars I’ve been continuously developing for the past 16 years. What I really love in my job, on top of seeing "my yogurts" on shelve, is the cross-functional ways of working all along the project of product development. It is very enriching, full of learnings and allows me to grow every day and never get bored!

Danone is also full of opportunities to change job and vary experiences: I've started my career in Pays de Bray factory as Yogurt process, then Quality team manager to discover yogurt production in large scale. Then I've been oriented to applied Research in order to increase my technical skills.

Within the R&I Evian Volvic World team, I am responsible for the creation of new drinks as well as improving current recipes. Satisfy our consumers both in terms of taste and nutrition is the challenge I’ve been facing for 30 years. I’m working in R&D in the Away From Home (AFH) European team; my mission is to develop the new products dedicated to the AFH channels and to support our business in its growth. The product development is a very interesting and motivating job as we are managing - within a team - projects from the idea to the final stage when the products are available on the market.  You can see what you have done, and be proud of the part you have taken in this achievement. One of the motivations of this job is also to interact with many different functions in the company: Marketing, Sales, Quality, Regulatory, Operation, Supply, and of course with the factories.  For many different reasons the projects can be very challenging – this is also what is exciting in my job. And as Mark Twain said: «THEY DID NOT KNOW IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE, SO THEY DID IT”.
