Moving: an essential part of every career path

:: On average, Danone employees stay in the same job for three years. Career paths are established on an individual basis and are aimed at alternating operational and functional positions as well as providing exposure to different occupations and cultures abroad. A move is decided by mutual agreement with the employee, taking into account the needs of the organisation and the manager’s wishes.

At Danone, professional development is based on a trilateral “contract”: each team manager must encourage his team’s career progression, each HR manager must follow everyone’s project, and each manager must be the main player in his own development.

This works well because more and more open positions are filled in advance. Danone has set a target of filling 80% of vacancies in-house.
