Danone and the Disabled in France
Last update april 2010
- All Danone companies in France (Danone SA, Danone Produits Frais France, Danone Eaux France and Blédina) have signed special Disabled agreements or Diversity agreements to fight discrimination. These agreements contain specific measures to support the disabled.
- At the end of 2009, the average introduction rate of disabled people in Danone’s French companies was 4.86%.
- Within its consumer relations department, Danone has set up a new interface to provide access for the deaf (see specific sheet).
- Continuing the efforts of the group’s companies to integrate the disabled, Franck Riboud, Danone’s Chief Executive Officer signed the Disabled charter in November 2009, put forward by the Secretary of State for Family and Solidarity. This charter represents our commitment to:
- Include the disabled in our corporate strategy at the highest level;
- Help develop collective representation of the disabled in the company and in society;
- Promote a resources policy targeting the insertion of disabled people;
- Share good practices between our companies and the Ministry, particularly in terms of access and training for the disabled.
