Sales at Danone
::Sales positions are based on two distinct missions: the development of Danone’s categories and products through strategic clients and the expansion of the brand presence in local shops.
The Sales department is continually evolving and is creating a whole range of associated careers with one thing in common: client relations. Field positions within the organisation and product display management can alternate with sales support and other positions, bringing you into contact with national clients. These positions require excellent communication and organisational skills.
“Trust brought me to Danone. When I was at business school, I entered the Danone business game called Trust. This showed me how vibrant and creative Danone was, so you can imagine how pleased I was to start an internship in the sales department in April 2005. However, you can’t imagine my delight at being offered a job when my internship finished in August.
As a Junior Sales Manager for Danone Waters France, I cover the North and East of the Greater Paris area. My customers are big supermarket chains like Carrefour. The first challenge was to continue to develop already very strong sales of products like Volvic, Evian, and Badoit. The key has been to establish good, strong relations with the clients from the very beginning. In spite of being new in the position, the transition with my predecessor had to be transparent for them. Mutual trust is central.”
