Our employees are at the heart of our performance
Last update april 2009
::The human resources function at Danone has always played a central role, pursuing a clearly stated ambition to contribute to collective performance and create the conditions for the right business and social balance.
For the past forty years, human resources management at Danone has been founded on the belief that the personal development of people is both the condition for and the purpose of growth. Antoine Riboud’s “dual economic and social project” first connected the two factors back in 1972. Innovative solutions are constantly being developed to put this heritage into practice. All the employees lie at the heart of the preoccupations of the Human Resources department. According to the in-house opinion survey conducted every two years by the Tower Perrins institute, the results are good. Danone achieves an exceptionally high employee commitment rate of 85%, compared to an average of 78% for large companies in the same sector. This score reflects pride in belonging, buy into strategy and management, and a willingness to invest oneself in the company.
Remaining true to its values, the group extended its practices even further in 2008. The aim of Human Resources is to make Danone a “Great Place to Grow” for all, acknowledged as such both internally and outside the group. Its HR policy has the ambition of ensuring that business growth and personal growth go hand-in-hand, with no set limits. To achieve this, three projects were launched: the “People Growth” contract, “New Ways of Working” to create a flexible company; and “Danone Supporting Life”, which is an extension of the dual economic and social project.
